I was just wondering if anyone has used CEX for selling a mobile phone, iphone in particular. I have a couple of questions - any idea how their grading is. I have some minor scuff marks on the bezel and back but no scratches, and the screen is perfect. I would then sell my current phone on eBay to claw back some of the cash. It's difficult to give a clear-cut answer to this as it’s a bit of a grey area. We know for certain people do sell phones immediately when they take out a new contract without any problem. CEX in town also accept contract phones so I can't see that a big company would accept them if they were then to get blocked by the provider because CEX provides a 12 month warrenty. Most people also sell them as they are happy with their old phone and have no intention of defaulting. Girlfriend just had a voicemail from CEX. she sold her mobile phone to them in August, They are now saying there is an issue with the phone and they need to discuss the sale. She hasn't called them yet, But seeing as a) the phone was perfectly fine (I can vouch for this) b)it was ages ago and they spent and hour supposedly testing it

Best Answer: Are you just talking about the phone itself or the actual contract. If it is the phone there is nothing to stop you selling it, but you would still have to pay for the contract.
